As a professional two-wheel tractor, model XB40 is equipped with a gearbox with oil bath gears and worm screw. There are four forward and three reverse speeds with fast reverse feature allowing the machine to operate with a vast range of ratios and to adapt to a great many of jobs. Similarly to the other versions, the steering column is adjustable and reversible to enable the machine to work in both directions. The differential lock is standard assembly. The 990 rpm PTO with engagement in oil bath is independent from the gearbox. The dry cone clutch is self ventilating. The drum brakes have independent controls on the two wheels. Mod. XB40 two-wheel tractors are available with two gasoline fueled engines: the 11 HP ACME ACT340 OHC in the version with recoil starter or electric starter and the 8 HP HONDA GX240 OHV with recoil starter.
The diesel version has a 10 HP YANMAR L 100 engine with direct injection, available in both the recoil starter and electric starter versions. Similarly to the rest of the PASQUALI two-wheel tractors, version XB40 is also very versatile and can be used in an extremely practical way on all types of terrain for both intensive cultivation and ground care.
